Job Summary
We are looking for a Business Analyst (BA) specializing in Finance Operations and ERP Systems to join our team. The BA will work closely with the Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to analyze business needs, define system requirements, and support the development of internal financial tools while ensuring seamless integration with external ERP systems. This role requires a deep understanding of cash flow management, financial processes, reconciliation, and ERP functionalities.
Key Responsibilities
- Finance Operations & Cash Flow Understanding
- Analyze and document finance operations workflows, including revenue recognition, accounts payable/receivable, settlements, and reconciliations.
- Work closely with the Finance team to understand cash flow movement and ensure accurate tracking within internal tools.
- Identify inefficiencies in existing financial processes and propose automation or optimization solutions.
- ERP System & External Integrations
- Act as the bridge between Finance and Product/Engineering teams to ensure smooth integration between internal finance tools and external ERP systems (NetSuite).
- Gather and document business and technical requirements for ERP-related enhancements or integrations.
- Support ERP implementation, upgrades, and change management by providing detailed business requirements.
- Internal Financial Tool Development
- Define system requirements for building and improving internal finance tools.
- Ensure internal tools effectively capture, process, and report financial data in alignment with ERP system structures.
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for product features related to finance operations.
- Work with engineers to validate system outputs, reconciliations, and financial reporting accuracy.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Must-Have:
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Finance, Accounting, or ERP-related domains.
- Strong understanding of finance operations, cash flow processes, settlements, and reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar), including integrations with internal tools.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Ability to work with technical teams to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to break down complex financial workflows.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge finance and technical teams.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in building or maintaining financial automation tools.
- Knowledge of API integrations between finance tools and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with agile product development methodologies.
